While in Australia last month I had a meeting with DPA, to which end an agreement was made to apply points on both sides of the ditch. This means that we will have (4) four Tournaments out here in New Zealand with DPA points attached to them and in turn Aussie will have four Tournaments with DPNZ points attached. The new points system will be standardized in both Countries over all Tournaments with an exception being made in our Area Championships only.

All Opens, Islands and National points will be as follows: 20 Win / 16 Ru-Up / 12  3rd & 4th  / 8   5th to 8th / 4  9th to 16th

Area Championships points as follows:    16  Win  /  12  Run-Up  / 8  3rd & 4th   / 4  5th to 8th  /    9th  to  16th

All players please take note this is very important, the quota of Open Tournament’s in New Zealand for 2012 has now doubled to a total of six which a player can take points from, this is to allow every player in NZ a chance to play in the (4) four allocated Tournament’s with DPNZ & DPA points available at the same time.

Also if a player wishes to travel to Australia, He or She will have a chance of another four tournaments where the same system of DPA & DPNZ points may be accumulated. These 4 tournament dates will be known in the next 30 days.

DPA are also looking at raising the number of the last 32, to the last 64 at this years 2012 Oceanic which is to be played at the lovely Revesby workers Club, this will include the top 64 from the DPA & DPNZ rankings.

Yours Sincerely

(Digger)

Dale Frampton
